Midtown Fling
“Midtown Fling” is a simple ragtime instrumental in the key of G that features moving bass and melody lines. The progression is based on a traditional ragtime set of chords: I, VI, II, V, (G E A D). As in the playing of the masters of ragtime guitar playing such as Rev, Gary Davis, Big Bill Broonzy, and Blind Blake - Midtown Fling features syncopated picking ideas, moving bass lines, and melodic lines played over the chords.
