Blue
Daze
Blue Daze is a twelve bar blues in the key of A. It
is based on the playing of the great Scrapper Blackwell, one of
the most gifted of all country blues players.
Throughout
the song, the bass is mostly steady, on the down-beat. It is played
by muting the strings with the palm of your picking hand so that
the sound of the bass has a deadened quality to it.
The melody is constantly moving weaving in and out of the
chords. In the second verse the A chord riffs are based around the
chord positions and played as two note and single lines
